An alumna of Huntington High School, Jennifer Stevens is uniquely positioned to lead the Huntington Foundation for Excellence in Education (HFEE) into its third decade of providing grants that enrich the education and learning experiences for Huntington students. Jennifer is a communications executive at VMware, a leading software company, and previously was the vice president of Brand Marketing at OppenheimerFunds, where she ran the company’s philanthropy program. But perhaps most fitting, Jennifer’s parents, Mark and Linda Stevens, were the first recipients of the HFEE Reach For The Stars award in 1993 for their fundraising efforts for the district when the school budget did not pass.
Jennifer is a strong advocate for Huntington schools, volunteering as a PTA officer and class parent throughout the years. In addition, she has been a volunteer coach for soccer, baseball and basketball through the Huntington Sports League and the YMCA. Her son, Graham Gooch, is a seventh grader at Finley Middle School, and her daughter, Katherine Gooch, is a fourth grader at Jack Abrams STEM intermediary school.
